Oval, the cover set with a medalion painted with a man, woman and child by a well in translucent red border, with laurel leaf frame, against a brown guilloché enamel ground, the base and sides with similar brown guilloché panels, the sides with central chased and engraved vari-colour gold trophies and with garlands and scrolls between, within borders of white pellets in foliate settings, marked inside the cover and base - 3 3/8in. (8.6cm.) long
