Of campana form and on spreading circular foot, applied with foliage, acorns, ropework handles and a gilt medallion within beaded surround, engraved with inscription, marked on base, the foot stamped 'B & I SMITH GREENWICH - 8¾in. (22.5cm.) 37ozs.

The inscription commemorates the victory of Trafalgar celebrated at the Green Man, Blackheath 21st October, 1808 and the presentation of the cup by the stewards listed on the cup. It was to remain in the care of the president Robert Campbell 'for the time being'.
