maker's mark of Peter Arcambo, London, 1729

Shaped-circular and on three scroll feet and with moulded border, engraved with a coat-of-arms within a baroque cartouche, marked on reverse - 6in. (15.3cm.) diam.
20ozs. (624grs.)

The arms are those of Booth for George, 2nd Earl of Warrington (1675-1758). See note to preceeding lot (2)

Lot Essay

No engraved scratch weight survives on the reverse of these waiters. However, it seems likely that they are listed in the Earl's manuscript inventory, folio 14, under the heading '6 small waiters to give drink on'
