Note: Of the two recorded examples of S.G.12a, one is contained in the above block and the other, an unused single, shows "ONE PENNY" shifted to left and is variety aa in the list of major varieties of this value. Of the "ONR" for "ONE" variety, S.G.12f, it is thought that twelve were produced, including two with "E" of "PENNY" doubled, and seven have been recorded.
