Vase-shaped and on square base with four leaf-capped lion's paw and scroll feet, the bowl chased with flutes and acanthus foliage and below the rim with a band of shells, buds and tendrils, with leaf-capped reeded and lion's mask handles, the domed cover with bud finial, fitted with detachable sleeve, cover and iron warmer, the spigot with beast head terminal and fluted tap, later engraved with presentation inscription dated 1874, marked on body, cover, sleeve and sleeve cover - 16¼in. (41.5cm.) high
