The slender ridged hoop in Lombardic script 'Fides Amoris Averas', 15th Century, finger size N 1/2
Provenance: Excavated Nr Stow, South Lincolnshire
The inscription, unusually in Latin, translates as 'You will have faithfulness in love' . Cf. C. Oman, British Rings 800-1914, 1974, pl.75 (a) described as possibly an early type of decade ring
