Lot Essay

The inscription above states that the piece was presented by Zuhur 'Ali to Mirza 'Ali Asghar Khan.

The two oval seal impressions are those of Nizam al-Mulk engraved in AH 1180/1766-7 AD, and the square one is that of the artist, 'Abd al-Rahy Lutf'ali, engraved in 1252, the same year as he painted the piece.
