AN ABBASID POYCHROME LUSTRE DISH with rounded everted lip on short foot, the white interior painted in three colours of glaze with a central lozenge lattice containing coloured cruciform motifs, the border with a bold kufic inscription, the exterior with dark hatched roundels on a light hatched ground, 8th/9th century (repaired, rim partly restored)
