A NISHAPUR ROUNDED BOWL on short foot, the brilliant yellow interior painted with stylised floral motifs and birds around the central figure of a powerful black horse, the body with red and yellow roundels containing rosettes, a stylised hound above, in a black border of scrolling arabesque vine between yellow and red stripes, the white exterior with similarly coloured lozenges, roundels and floral motifs, 10th century (repaired, slight restoration)
