A KASHAN TURQUOISE GLAZED SILHOUETTE WARE BOWL of rounded form with slightly everted lip on short foot, the interior incised through the black slip under the turquoise glaze with five roundels containing palmettes, the interstices with triangular hatched panels, in a simple panelled border, the exterior plain turquoise, 13th century (repaired) 8½in. (21.6cm.) diam.
