A KUBACHI POTTERY DISH with sloping rim on short foot, the white interior painted under the broadly crackled glaze with a central green cusped roundel containing rosettes around paired arabeques forming a figure-of-eight enclosing a red panel also with floral motifs, the blue rim with a band of bold red, ochre and green split palmettes with white surrounds between narrow white stripes, the exterior plain, 16th century (very slight glaze chips)
