The style of writing and numbering in the negative of the second print corresponds with that used in other photographs by Gustave Eugenio Chauffourier (1845-1919), see Thorvaldsen Museum catalogue, no. 70. It is possible Chauffourier acquired negatives from de Bonis in the late 1860s or 1870s and continued to make prints for sale.
