The arms are those of Campbell with Pershall in pretence for John, 3rd Earl of Breadalbone, who married, secondly, in 1730, Arabella, younger daughter and co-heir of John Pershall of Great Sugnal, Co. Stafford, son of Sir Thomas Pershall, 3rd Bt.

The crest is that of Breadalbane for Gavin, 1st Marquess and 7th Earl of Breadalbane K.G., P.C., (1851-1922). He was created Baron Breadalbane of Kenmore, Co. Perth in 1875 and Earl of Ormelie, Co. Caithness and Marquess of Breadalbane in 1885 having been Lord-in-waiting to Queen Victoria 1873-74 and Treasurer of the Household 1880-1885. He was later Lord Steward to the Household 1892-95, Keeper of the Privy Seal of Scotland 1907-22 and Lord Lieutenant of Argyll 1914-22. He married Lady Alma Imogen Leonora Carlotta Graham J.P. (d.1932), youngest daughter of the 4th Duke of Montrose, in 1872. There was no issue from this union and on the Marquess's death his titles became extinct and his nephew Iain Edward Herbert Campbell (1885-1923) became the 8th Earl of Breadalbane
