Urbanus Sartoris patented his tip-up chamber in London and Paris in 1817, with an improved version in 1819. A few carbines were made but he received no encouragement from the Ordnance and his London business went into liquidation in 1826

Anthony Farindon Biven is recorded at 16 Regent Street 1822-5
