A VICTORIAN SILVER THIRTEEN PIECE TEA SERVICE
maker's mark of Edward Farrell, London, 1838 and 1839

In the Teniers style, comprising a tea kettle, stand and lamp, a coffee pot, stand and lamp, a teapot, a pair of large two-handled slop bowls, a pair of sugar bowls, a milk jug, a cream jug, a pair of sugar spoons and two pairs of sugar tongs, each chased with with peasants working in the fields, a hunting scene, men drinking at an inn and related scenes, the coffee pot, teapot, bowls and jugs each on grotesque mask feet, the slop bowls and the jugs with drunken figure handles, the tea kettle, coffee pot and teapot each with hinged domed cover with seated figure finial, fully marked - the tea kettle stand and lamp 16¼in. (41.5cm.) high, the coffee pot, stand and lamp 12½in. (31.5cm.) high
