Goldener Preis. 0e.90, acidity 9.0, res.sugar 35.8, alcobol 9.8 A most attractive vintage, the best after 1976 (not represented in this sale. The estate does not have any stock) and although many tasted, particularly in the late 1980's, the wines of this vintage sampled at the estate in July were a delightful revelation.
Tasting note: medium pale lemon gold; classic 'kerosene' Riesling nose, plus clover honey bottle age; distinctly dry with the broad somewhat earthy Hochheim character. Perfect now 6 bottles per lot
