Tasting note: warm gold; outstanding, very rich, honeyed; sweet yet firm, with the idiosyncratic earthiness of Hochheim, length and power. Prior to the 1971 wine laws this would have doubtless been described as feinste Auslese. Almost a Beerenauslese. Magnificent. Will keep and develop further 6 bottles per lot
