A MEISSEN TEABOWL AND SAUCER, painted in Schwarzlot with harbour and landscape scenes with men on quaysides unloading packages and at discussion among barrels and with figures boating before a church and strolling in a river landscape beside a monument within gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk panels reserved with Böttger lustre within puce foliage scrolls, diaper-panels, masks and chinoiserie figures within alternating dot, scroll and panelled gilt borders (hair crack and minute associated chip to teabowl, slight rubbing to rim of teabowl and one minute area of rubbing to saucer), blue crossed swords marks, gilder's 70. and Dreher's to footrims, circa 1725
