A MEISSEN TURQUOISE-GROUND KAKIEMON SAKE BOTTLE of pear-shaped square section, each side variously painted with flowering peony, prunus and bamboo branches issuing from rockwork and with banded hedges within gilt quatrefoil panels, the tapering neck with a band of gilt scrollwork (slight chips to underside of corners of base), blue enamelled crosseds swords mark, incised Japanese Palace inventory mark N=291-/W to base and blue crossed swords mark in underglaze blue to base of one side, circa 1730
