Eberlein, the entire surface crisply modelled with spiral fluting and wave moulding, the centre moulded with two swans swimming flanked by bulrushes and beside a heron with a fish in its beak and another in flight above, the far left side moulded with a house on a mound, the border with the Arms and painted with scattered indianische Blumen within a gilt dentil rim, the entwined branch handles with flower and leaf terminals (one handle repaired, chips to flowers and leaves and one flower restored very minor rubbing to rim and to gilt support beneath the Arms), blue crossed swords mark, Dreher's cross and four dots, 1737-1741

Lot Essay

The Arms are those of Heinrich, Count von Brühl (1700-1763), Director of the Meissen factory from 1733-63, and his wife Franziska von Kolowrat-Krakowska whom he married in 1737
