A MEISSEN ORNITHOLOGICAL TEACUP AND SAUCER, each painted with four panels of birds including a bullfinch and goldfinches beside flowers on grassy mounds within shaped gilt-edged rococo scroll cartouches, the ground moulded with the Dulong pattern, the green branch handle with flower and foliage terminals and the rims enriched with gilding (very slight rubbing to gilt rim of teacup), blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummer 17 to teacup and 52 to saucer, circa 1750
