Engraved frontispiece portrait of William Vincent on india paper mounted in volume one, uncolored plan of Westminster and 81 hand-colored aquatint plates after A. Pugin, F. Mackenzie, J. White, H. Villiers, T. Uwins, and others by S. Mitan, J. Bluck, T. Sutherland, J. Hamble, F.C. Lewis and others (small marginal tears to plates 53 and 59, a few imprints lightly printed, occasional light browning, spotting and offsetting). (Vol. I with small tear on half-title.) Modern crimson morocco gilt, gilt-lettered on spine, top edges gilt, some deckle edges preserved, by Sangorski and Sutcliffe. Provenance: purchased at Swann Galleries, 14 June 1973, lot 1, through Seven Gables Bookshop, New York.
