2 volumes, large 8o (255 x 156 mm). 2 engraved titles and 110 engraved plates by Skelton, Cooper, Grainger, Gyde, Champman and others after Barlow. (Some light toneing, titles shaved slightly.) Late 19th-century calf gilt, each spine with 2 morocco labels, edges gilt (minor rubbing to joints). Provenance: R. Hamer (faint signature on title) -- purchased from Maggs Bros., London, 17 September 1973.

First Stockdale edition, with engraved plates by thirty different engravers and four unsigned plates. Bentley mentions that the work was advertised at the end of the second volume of Gay's 1793 Fables as containing Blake engravings, however there are no signed Blake plates.
