2 parts bound in one, 8o (165 x 100 mm). Two title-pages, half-title printed perpendicularly and advertisement leaf bound at end. Two engraved plates and one illustration in text. (Title repaired with a few letters in facsimile, repaired tears on A3-5 slightly affecting text, first plate trimmed within border, some mostly marginal soiling and staining). Modern green hard-grained morocco gilt, edges gilt. Provenance: Edmund William Gosse (1849-1928), English translator, literary historian and critic (bookplate), sold Sotheby's, London, 13 May 1929, lot 5 -- purchased from Blackwell's, Oxford, 10 June 1970.
