8o (146 x 95 mm). Title with woodcut border incorporating Sessa's 'cat and mouse' device, ruled in red throughout. BOUND BY ROGER PAYNE in late 18th-century olive green morocco, wide gilt border of single fillet and alternating flower, sprig and star tools, surrounding a delicate central panel made up of various small flower, roundel, star and thistle tools, spine in six compartments, gilt lettered in second and fifth, olive green morocco doublures with wider border, corners on a studded background and central panel built up from the same tools and additional floral tools, morocco inner joints, pink stained endpapers, green silk ribbon marker (some light rubbing and fading to covers, front free endpaper loose); red morocco solander case.
