(Small rust-hole to **1 and **2 touching a few letters, lower corner of Q1 renewed, a few small wormholes at end, occasionally touching letters, inner margin reinforced on final leaf.) Modern dark blue morocco gilt, edges gilt, by Riviere (upper joint very slightly rubbed). FIRST EDITION of this posthumous collection of verse and verse drama, including the well-known pastoral drama Amyntas. Randolph was the friend and ardent admirer of Ben Jonson, and his "Answer to Mr. Ben Jonson's Ode to persuade him not to leave the Stage," appears on pp.71-73.
