Second edition. "There are some major changes in the second edition. The John 21.3 quotation has been corrected and 'unto them' and 'unto him' added. There are four more copperplates of fish. Walton almost rewrote the book and added seven chapters, making twenty-two... The two interlocutors of the first edition, Piscator and Viator have been changed into Piscator and Venator, and a third one, Auceps, has been added. The commendatory verses by seven writers have been added for the first time... It is reasonable to assume that if not rarer, the second edition is probably as scarce as the first" (Coigney 2). Grolier Wither to Prior 948; Horne 2; Oliver 2.
