FIRST EDITION of the main work by the first professor of theology at the University of Prague. It is one of several abridged versions that circulated in manuscript in the 14th and 15th centuries. The first complete edition was published at Strassburg several years later (BSB I-524). The text on the inserted leaf had been accidentally omitted; Schoeffer's compositors then set it in larger type in order to fill two pages. The leaf comes from the same paper stock, but unlike the rest of the book shows two pin-holes. LARGE AND CRISP COPY, preserving a number of manuscript signatures and catchwords. H *15235; BMC I, 38; Polain 2316; BSB I-523; Goff J-435.
