The elements of the relief carved from separate pieces of inlaid wood; the tiles in the foreground with extensive illegible ink inscriptions; the reverse inscribed variously '202', '¨p' (?) and '18'; in a later moulded wooden frame.
Minor damage to right edge.

This type of intarsia decoration carved in relief was a speciality of the city of Eger in Bohemia, and panels like the present one were frequently used to adorn cabinets and boxes.
