FRANK WILLARD
Moon Mullins 5/18/1924
Original art, Moon Mullins hand colored Sunday. Willard created Moon Mullins for the Hearst Syndicate in 1923, and Mullins took his name from prohibition's moonshine as he moved through the 1920s into the present day to become one of the longest running strips in the history of newspaper comics. Willard maintained continuity with daily gags and that is evident in this example as well. Mixed media on paper-25 x 16½ in.
Very Good
