Jaguar's stylish unitary construction first appeared in 1955 on the 2.4-litre touring cars and was aimed at the medium sized home market. Its amazing all round performance provided the basis of a competitive racing saloon which was to achieve complete domination in the late 1950s saloon racing car scene. The Mk II had disc brakes fitted as standard.
This car has been in the same ownership since new - the owner even collected it directly from the factory. Its first three or four years were spent in Germany. It has driven approximately 130,000 miles and is described as being in very original condition.
