An Early Flintlock Blunderbuss
Circa 1660-70
With belled brass barrel with pronounced ramp at the rear of the breech, plain iron tang, flat bevelled lock retained by three side-nails and with pierced flat cock, small dog catch, and square-cut steel, blackened full stock (repaired, some bruises) with a raised panel at the barrel tang, brass mounts including flat heel-plate secured by tacks, and later brass-capped ramrod (two side-nails replaced)
