An Unusual 22-Bore Spanish Breech-Loading Miquelet-Lock Sporting Gun

With swamped two-stage barrel with raised mouldings on the octagonal section, made to slide into its octagonal outer sleeve at the rear and held in place by a stud on a bar attached to a sliding ring, the chamber with a hinged lid on the upper side, gold-lined touch-hole, plain tang, lightly engraved lock with punzón (gold missing) on the plate and steel, figured walnut half-stock, 'Catalan' butt with extension (wormed) and cloth-covered cheek-pad (cloth damaged), shaped iron mounts including engraved trigger-guard with gold-lined punzón of Mig.l Bermal(?), and scrolled iron support for the left hand
