A 22-Bore Spanish Miquelet-Lock Sporting Gun

With browned two-stage barrel (perhaps slightly shortened) retained by two spring-held slotted iron bands and with chiselled girdle, silver bead fore-sight, and engraved and chiselled ring back-sight, the breech struck with two gold-lined maker's marks (Neue Støckel 1076, 1077) with three gold-lined fleur-de-lys marks and a gold-lined cross above, at the rear a single gold line, gold-lined touch-hole, shaped engraved tang, lightly engraved flat lock with moulded border inscribed 'En Madrid', chiselled details, and gold-lined punzón (Neue Støckel 1080), figured fruitwood full stock (minor bruises, fore-end tip chipped) carved in relief at the barrel tang and with fluted butt, engraved iron mounts, shaped rounded side-plate, scrolled trigger-guard with further gold-lined punzón and with flaming urn finial, and ivory-tipped ramrod
