A Fine 20-Bore French Flintlock Sporting Gun

With tapering barrel retaining near all its original blued finish, signed in gold on the top flat and decorated with gilt strapwork, a martial trophy, and a fleur-de-lys at the rear of the breech, silver fore-sight, engraved tang, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock with engraved (associated?) cock and engraved stepped tail, blued pan and steel-spring, moulded figured walnut half-stock carved in relief with foliage at the barrel tang and behind the rear ramrod-pipe, engraved brass mounts, the butt-plate with a profile bust of Diana, the side-plate with a stag-hunt, silver escutcheon with coronet above, iron sling swivels, and wooden ramrod, probably original, in fine condition throughout
