A rare 15-Bore Russian Flintlock Sporting Gun

With swamped two-stage sighted barrel struck on the underside with a 'P' (for Tula), the top flat of the breech encrusted with sprays of flowers and foliage in silver and with raised longitudinal ribs, shaped parcel-gilt tang with integral back-sight, signed rounded lock with moulded border and gilt rococo ornament chiselled in relief, moulded figured walnut full stock (minor chips and cracks) carved in relief with rococo scrollwork and foliage behind the barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe and inlaid in the English manner with rococo designs in silver wire (some losses), parcel-gilt iron mounts chiselled in relief with further rococo decoration, raised cheek-piece, iron sling mounts, horn fore-end cap, and later horn-tipped ramrod, the butt-plate engraved 'No 5'
