A Rare Pair Of 120-Bore Irish Percussion Box-Lock Pocket Pistols
By W.. & J.. Rigby, Dublin, Nos. 11002 and 11003 for 1860
With etched twist octagonal sighted barrels each engraved 'Dublin' on the top flat, pierced platinum plugs, signed actions finely engraved with characteristic scrollwork on a hatched ground and each with three bents (one bent defective on one pistol), folding triggers, flattened chequered figured walnut butts with engraved hinged covers revealing cavities for balls and caps, silver escutcheons, and stirrup ramrods (some minor surface pitting, mainly on one pistol)
