A Very Rare 14-Bore Irish Percussion Box-Lock Turn-Over Pistol
By W.. & J.. Rigby, Dublin, No. 9515 for 1845
With massive turn-off barrels numbered respectively '1' and '2' and each with a band of engraved ornament at the muzzle, the breeches and signed action each with characteristic engraving, engraved hammer (cracked), three bents, folding trigger, reblued belt hook (minor pitting) on the left side, chequered figured walnut butt (minor bruising and loss of varnish), and silver escutcheon and pommel (each bruised)
