With swamped three-stage barrels engraved with a band of foliage at the rear and at each intersection, the breech sections octagonal then sixteen-sided, and signed on the top flat, engraved tangs, plain rounded locks (tip of one tail missing), moulded artificially figured maple full stocks each with a raised moulding at the barrel tang, brass mounts, elaborately pierced side-plates, spurred pommels engraved on each side with strawberry foliage terminating in a monster-head, brass baluster ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrods, one with worm
