A Rare 28-Bore German (Nuremberg) All-Steel Wheel-Lock Belt Pistol Circa 1580
With swamped two-stage barrel stamped at the octagonal breech with the marks of Hans Danner of Nuremberg (Neue Støckel 7308) and etched throughout its length with mauresques, flat bevelled lock etched with an eagle and foliage on a dotted ground and struck with an indistinct mark, etched pierced wheel-cover, engraved cock and pan-cover, swivelling safety-catch, full stock etched en suite with the lock, iron ramrod, and later iron belt hook (etching worn, some surface pitting)
