Slightly tapering étui-à-cire of oval section, the matted lower parts of cover and base chased with short flutes alternating with long flutes chased with laurel garlands, the upper parts of polished gold hung with floral and laurel festoons, frosted gold borders stamped with stylized acanthus, bright-cut rims, the slightly raised polished gold top of the cover centred with a flowerhead on a matted ground, blank matrix
