by André Magnin, marked, Geneva under French occupation, circa 1809-1814, with the restricted warranty mark for gold, French Departments 1809-1819, later struck with two Parisian post-1838 restricted warranty marks for gold
Rectangular box with convex sides, horizontally ribbed cover and base, the overlapping front border serving as a thumbpiece, the sablé gold sides stamped with trailing foliage and flowerheads, the petals enamelled in blue, left and right hand sides furthermore stamped with pine-cones enamelled in opaque dark and light blue
