by Guidon, Rémond & Gide, marked, Geneva, circa 1800, the enamel probably by Jean-Louis Richter
Rectangular box with rounded corners, the cover finely enamelled en plein with couples strolling in a wooded lakeside landscape, within a bright-cut gold and white enamelled border, the base flinqué-enamelled in translucent blue with black latticework enclosing pink hexafoil paillons, the intersections with blue hexafoil paillons, on a sunrise and vertically striped guilloché ground, the borders of lid and base enamelled in black taille d'épargne engraved with foliage and blue bands twisted around white enamel double-bands, the side pilasters decorated in the same technique with white enamelled gold urns on a black ground
