Navette shaped, the cover formed as a stylized flower bud enamelled in red, with vari-coloured green enamelled foliage, against a black ground, the bud, stem and leaves set with pearls, the reverse enamelled in blue with a garland border highlighted in white, the blue-enamelled sides with gold paterae and white rope-twist lower border, the grille bright-cut as a pinecone, marked inside cover, base, and grille
