stamped on the foot Bausch & Lomb Optical ROCHESTER, N.Y., with draw-tube and rack and pinion focusing, with calibrated micrometer fine adjustment, triple nosepiece, mechanical stage, substage condensor and plano-concave mirror, the main limb tilting on a joint to the enamelled horseshoe foot, further stamped 48995 and E.B.M., with 2, , and 2/3 Bausch & Lomb objectives and a no.2 eyepiece -- 15½in. (39.4cm.) high (max.); a lacquered-brass and black enamelled compound monocular microscope, a plaque on the foot for BAUSCH & LOMB OPTICAL CO. 9586, with draw-tube and rack and pinion focusing and calibrated micrometer fine adjustment, triple nosepiece stamped 1.9mm, 4mm and 16mm, simple stage, substage condensor and plano-concave mirror, the main limb incorporating a carrying handle and tilting via a joint to the enamelled horseshoe foot, with unmarked eyepiece and a Bausch & Lomb objective, an unmarked objective and 1.9mm oil immersion Bausch & Lomb objective -- 16¾in.
