BERLIN Ernst Schotte & Co., made up of twelve chromolithographed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial, ecliptic and prime meridian graduated but unlabelled, the oceans with ocean currents, the continents outlined in yellow or green and showing mountains, rivers, deserts and some cities, raised on a geared mechanism with a wire arm and painted wooden moon ball, on the end of a wide metal arm to the papered horizontal plate Anstalt von Ernst Schotte & Co. - Berlin - Geographisch-artistische Lith.v.P.Möhring, with compass directions, degrees, days of the month and the houses of the Zodiac with detailed pictoral representations, with reflector and cast white-metal candle holder, raised on a short brass column with turning handle to a cast fluted bronze metal column and circular plinth base -- 22¼in.
