A Bohemian-engraved goblet and a cover

(Fadenglas Deckelpokal) the generous bowl engraved with three elaborate foliate strapwork cartouches depicting peasant scenes, inscribed: Durch viel mist machen dreschen und pflugen Kan man viel gelt und guther kriegen (through a lot of agricultural labours one can achieve plenty of money and goods) the lower bulging part cut with triangles and arches in Mattschnitt, upon a twisted multi-knopped stem enclosing a red thread, the domed foot engraved with foliage, the domed cover en suite with pointed spire finial cut with roundels (section above foot restored)
