Second half 19th century, Jan Steensma workshop, marked for the Tichelaar factory
Painted with the Dijkvaart canal in Makkum, near to the Zuiderzeedijk, depicting various fishermen, a tjalk riverboat and the high pitched roofs of the barns containing the reserve doors of the lock, the raised border marbled
