A continental creamware box and cover modelled as a duck
Second half 18th century
Inspired by English creamware examples, the yellowish ground naturalistically modelled in relief as a duck looking backwards, the underside applied allover with a bed of duckweed, the cover with elaborate plumage in relief, its head crowned with duckweed (a small chip to the inside of the cover)
