A set of eight Minton landscape side dishes
Circa 1835, with numerals 2456 in overglaze red
The dark blue ground reserved with a shaped spiralling pentagonal cartouche painted in colours with dreamy landscape vignettes depicting various English abbeys, country houses, formal gardens, etc., the wavy border gilt and moulded with scrolls in slight relief, comprising: an oval dish with pierced handles, 28cm. wide; an asymmetrical with pierced border, 25cm. wide; six circular, 22.5cm. diam. (one circular with a crack)
